世界標準プラットフォーム!? Quant Network, QNT, Overledger

In this article, I will reiterate the Quant Network(QNT).
Introduction
「ISO規格」という国際的な標準がある。国際標準化機構（International Organization for Standardization）の略称で、1947年設立、スイスのジュネーブに本部を置く非政府機関・非営利組織。
There is an international standard called "ISO Standards." It is an abbreviation for International Organization for Standardization, a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 1947 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
ISO規格に準拠しているということは、その組織・サービスに高い品質があることを証明し、 顧客の信頼を高める上で重要な手段となる。
Compliance with ISO standards is an important means of demonstrating the high quality of an organization's services and enhancing customer confidence.
たとえば、世界中の多くの工場でISO規格に従って製造されるネジは、どのネジも同じサイズで互換性があり、どの国でも通用する。もしISO規格に従わず、ひとつの工場が独自のネジを製造すると、そのネジは社会で通用しないものとなる。
For example, screws manufactured according to ISO standards in many factories around the world are all the same size, interchangeable, and acceptable in any country. If one factory produces its own screws without following ISO standards, those screws will not be accepted in society.
いまやISO規格に従うことは企業の当然の努めとなった。そんなISO規格はブロックチェーン分野にも存在する。「Blockchain ISO Standard TC307」である。
It is now a matter of course for companies to comply with ISO standards. Such an ISO standard also exists in the blockchain field. It is the "Blockchain ISO Standard TC307".
このISO/TC307の制定に、発足時から関与しているのがQuant Network設立者のGilbert Verdian氏だ。このISO規格の社会通用性とQuant Networkの立ち位置を知れば、ネイティブトークンQNTの将来性がみえてくる。
Involved in the establishment of ISO/TC307 since its inception is Gilbert Verdian, founder of Quant Network. Knowing the social acceptability of this ISO standard and the position of Quant Network, the future of the Native token QNT is clear.
ISO/TC 307
2016年9月に、ブロックチェーン技術と分散台帳技術の標準化を示すISO/TC 307が制定された。ISO/TC307のwebサイトをみると、その配下のワーキンググループが記載されている。
In September 2016, ISO/TC 307 was established to standardize blockchain and distributed ledger technology. The ISO/TC 307 website lists the working groups following figure.
キーワードをみると、「デジタル通貨」「炭素市場」「プライバシー・アイデンティティ」「スマートコントラクト」「相互運用性」「NFT」が並ぶ。
Looking at the keywords, "digital currency," "carbon market," "privacy and identity," "smart contracts," "interoperability," and "NFT" line up.
これからのデジタル化社会で多方面で活用される上記の観点をおさえながらISO/TC307の取組みがされている。ISO/TC307のくくりの中で、すでに11個のISO規格が制定され、7個は取組み推進中となっている。
Within the ISO/TC307 framework, 11 ISO standards have already been established and 7 are currently under development.
このようにISO/TC307のグローバル活用はすでに始まっており、グローバルなデジタル化社会での普及を目指す企業や組織は、ISO/TC307を参照しながら事業化を進めている。
Thus, global use of ISO/TC307 has already begun, and companies and organizations aiming to spread the ISO/TC307 in the global digital society are referring to ISO/TC307 in their business development.
ISO/TC307 initiative
このISO/TC307の制定に、発足時から関与しているのがGilbert Verdian氏である。そしてGirvert氏が設立したのがQuant Networkだ。
One of the driving forces behind the establishment of ISO/TC307 was Gilbert Verdian. Gilbert Verdian founded Quant Network.

GirvertはQuantの創設者兼CEOとして、すべての人のためにブロックチェーンの力を解き放ち、エンパワーメントされた相互接続された世界を創造することに注力している。
Girvertは20年以上にわたるサイバーセキュリティの経験を持ち、CISO、CIO、CTOとしてCレベルの責任を担ってきた。ダウニング街、大蔵省、内閣府、司法省、ニューサウスウェールズ保健省など政府機関での勤務のほか、マスターカード、Vocalink、CSC、EY、PwC、BP、HSBCなど民間企業での勤務経験もある。
破壊的技術に強い関心を持つGirvertは、2015年にブロックチェーンISO標準TC307イニシアチブを設立し、ISOの相互運用性ワーキンググループWG7の議長を務めている。
As Founder and CEO of Quant, Gilbert is focused on unlocking the power of blockchain for everyone, to create an empowered, interconnected world.
Gilbert has more than 20 years of cybersecurity experience and C-level accountability as a CISO, CIO and CTO. He has worked in government – for Downing Street, HM Treasury, the Cabinet Office, Ministry of Justice and NSW Health – and has also served in the private sector, at Mastercard, Vocalink, CSC, EY, PwC, BP and HSBC.
With a keen interest in disruptive technology, Gilbert established the Blockchain ISO Standard TC307 initiative in 2015 and is the Convenor of the Interoperability working group WG7 for ISO.
Quant Network
Quant Networkは、世界中のBlockchainやその他の既存ネットワークをつなぐことを目的として、2015年にGilbert Verdian氏によって設立。様々な分散型台帳技術(DLT)、Blockchainはそれぞれ異なる機能を備えており、それぞれに独自のエコシステムが存在する。
Quant Network was founded in 2015 by Gilbert Verdian with the goal of connecting Blockchain and other existing networks around the world. The various Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) and Blockchains have different capabilities and each has its own ecosystem.
Quantは、異なるBlockchain間でアプリケーションを動作させることができるオペレーティングシステム(OS)である「Overledger OS」を開発し、複数のネットワーク間でのシームレスな通信を可能にしている。オープンソースではなく、クローズドソースのプロジェクトであるため、使用するにはライセンスが必要となっている。
Quant has developed the Overledger OS, an operating system (OS) that allows applications to run across different Blockchains and seamlessly communicate across multiple networks. It is a closed source project, not open source, and requires a license to use.
Quantは以下のような機能を有している。
Quant has the following features;
Overledger Platform
Overledger Platformにより、異なるBlockchain間だけでなく、多くの種類のDLT、データベース、CRMシステムなどを相互接続可能となる。
The Overledger OS will allow interconnection not only between different Blockchains, but also between many types of DLTs, databases, CRM systems, etc.
Treasury
Treaty Contractsという機能により、異なるBlockchain上で複数のスマートコントラクトを実行することが可能となる。Treasuryはわずかな手数料を取り、その手数料はQuant Networkに支払われる。
A feature called Treaty Contracts allows multiple smart contracts to run on different Blockchains; Treasury takes a small fee, which is paid to Quant Network.
Multi-chain apps (mApps)
Overledger OS上にmAppsというアプリを構築することができる。このmAppsは現在主流のdApps(単一のBlockchain上の分散型アプリ)とは異なり、複数のBlockchain間で機能するアプリとなる。
It is possible to build apps called mApps on the Overledger OS. Unlike the current mainstream dApps (distributed apps on a single Blockchain), these mApps are apps that function across multiple Blockchains.
QRC-20
現在多くのネイティブTokenやSecurity TokenはイーサリアムのERC-20規格(スマートコントラクト定義)で作成されているものが多い。Quant NetworkでのスマートコントラクトQRC-20規格は、イーサリアムのERC-20規格に基づき開発されている。
Currently, many Native Tokens and Security Tokens are based on Ethereum's ERC-20 standard (Smart Contract Definition). The QRC-20 standard for the Quant Network was developed based on the ERC-20 standard for Ethereum.
QRC-20は、ERC-20 Tokenと同じように機能し、Tokenの作成、承認、転送方法の決定、口座残高に関する情報の提供、総供給量の制限の設定を行うことができる。
The QRC-20 functions in the same way as the ERC-20 Token, creating and approving Tokens, determining transfer methods, providing information on account balances, and setting limits on the total supply.
ERC-20 Tokenはイーサリアムネットワークに依存するが、QRC-20のTokenは単一のBlockchainに依存せず、複数のDLT上で機能する。QRC-20はまずイーサリアムERC-20を対象に、それをHyperledger Fabric、R3 Corda、JPM Quorum、およびその他のオープンブロックチェーンのスマートコントラクトに変換する役割を果たしている。
While the ERC-20 Token is dependent on the Ethereum network, the QRC-20 Token is not dependent on a single Blockchain and works on multiple DLTs; QRC-20 first targets the Ethereum ERC-20 and converts it into smart contracts for Hyperledger Fabric, R3 Corda , JPM Quorum, and other open blockchain smart contracts.
QNT Token
QNTはQuant Networkのネイティブトークンである。Overledger OS上のライセンスやTreasury Contractsを構築する際には、Treasuryを利用して法定通貨でライセンス料を支払い、その引換えにQNTトークンを購入する。
QNT is the native token of Quant Network; when building licenses or Treasury Contracts on the Overledger OS, license fees are paid in legal tender using Treasury, and QNT tokens are purchased in exchange.
QNTはOverledgerプラットフォームへのアクセスにも使用される。イーサリアムネットワーク上でのトランザクション時にガス代でETHが必要となるのと同じように、Quant Network上ではQNTが必要となる。現在のQNTトークン価格は以下参照。
QNTs are also used to access the Overledger platform. Just as ETH is required for gas during transactions on the Ethereum Network, QNT is required on the Quant Network. See below for current QNT token prices.
INATBA
さらにQuant Networkは、欧州連合が立ち上げたINATBA (International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications)の創設メンバーである。INATBAは、ブロックチェーンの活用が期待される各セクターでのガイドラインや国際基準を策定する。
In addition, Quant Network is a founding member of the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA), which was launched by the European Union. INATBA will develop guidelines and international standards in each sector where blockchain is expected to be used.
INATBA発足には、EU、世界銀行、経済協力開発機構(OECD)、国連世界食糧計画(WFP)、国連気候変動枠条約(UNFCCC)事務局、国連児童基金(UNICEF)、欧州投資銀行(EIB)、欧州復興開発銀行(EBRD)からも政府諮問理事会に委員を選出。
Members from the EU, World Bank, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), UN World Food Program (WFP), UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat, UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), European Investment Bank (EIB), and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) were also selected for the Government Advisory Board for the launch of INATBA.
INATBA の他のメンバーには、Accenture、Accord Project、Alastria、Banco Santander、BBVA、Consensys、Enterprise Ethereum Alliance、Fujitsu、IOTA、Ledger、SAP、SIA、Swift、Telefonica、We.Trade など。
Other INATBA members include Accenture, Accord Project, Alastria, Banco Santander, BBVA, Consensys, Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, Fujitsu, IOTA, Ledger, SAP, SIA, Swift, Telefonica, We.Trade, and others.

今回の記事では、様々なDLTやBlockchainを相互接続可能とするQuant Networkについて紹介した。Quant Network自体はBlockchainではないが、それぞれのDLT(BlockchainやDAGなど)が各自の良いところを活かし、互いに接続することでメリットを引き出し合うことを可能とするQuantは巨大な存在である。
今後Quant NetworkのOverledger OS上で稼働するシステムやアプリが増えていけば、QNT Tokenの需要も増えることとなる。暗号資産・Token投資の分散候補としてQNTも候補の一つ。(投資は自己責任で)
In this article, we introduced the Quant Network, which enables various DLTs and Blockchains to interconnect with each other. Quant is a huge entity that enables DLTs (Blockchain, DAG, etc.) to take advantage of their strengths and connect with each other to bring out the best of each other. As more systems and apps run on the Quant Network's Overledger OS, the demand for QNT Token will increase. QNT is one of the candidates for diversification of crypto assets and Token investment.
